Today has been a beautiful day.  The sun has shone... it was warm !! (at last) and I've been able to make a start on the gathering of cherry and apple blossom from my garden.  

I use a lot of blossom in my spells (love, healing and fertility spells) so during the brief period that these tree's are in flower; I need to pick a significant amount.  I do this sparingly, leaving enough to develop into berries, taking a little from each tree.  Once picked, I dry the blossoms and these are used in my spell work.  This year I'm making white sage and lavender smudge sticks, which I plan to mix with the blossoms.  Smudge sticks are incredibly easy to make, and are a great way of cleansing your home and space.  Spring is traditionally 'out with the old' and 'in with the new', that means getting rid of all that residual winter energy and replacing it with positive energies.  Once my smudge sticks are ready, I will have these in my shop available to order.
